Manifest.

Mani as in many.

Fest as in celebration… and joy!

I recently came across a terrific manifesting exercise on Arielle Ford’s blog. Though it is written for those seeking to attract their soulmate, I thought with a few few tweaks and modifications, it could work nicely to attract your soul anything: your soul partner, your soul home, your soul job, your soul purpose…

Here’s my adapted version of Arielle’s practice [her words in italics]:

  • Find a place to sit quietly without interruptions (by family members, the phone, noises outside, etc.). Get comfy.
  • Take an easy breath in and slow, emptying breath out and close your eyes.
  • Take your time to get centered. Release all thought and tension.
  • When you feel centered, ask your body to reveal to you any information that would be useful for you to know right now. Ask your higher self to gently deliver guidance and wisdom that would help you become more grounded, aware, and awake in your journey. Just put this intention out there and let it go…
  • Imagine yourself sometime in the future, pick a season, or whatever time frame comes to you.
  • Allow yourself to simply feel the presence of your soul’s deepest yearning.

If it’s a home free of excess (i.e. less clutter), imagine yourself enjoying a cup of tea in your favorite (now sparkly clear) room, swooning over the fact that you can breathe again; awed by the fact that you’ve moved mountains (of stuff) in such a short period time; ecstatic knowing that the clearing has created openings and opportunities in your life you never imagined in a million years… [Note: go for the feeling of what you most desire]

If it’s attracting the man/woman/baby of your dreams, imagine him or her joyfully padding about the house or apartment, peacefully sleeping next to you, cosily snuggling with you on the sofa, connecting over a divine meal, doing something that makes you laugh out loud, having a blast…

If it’s attracting peace of mind, your life purpose, money in the bank, a job offer, a college acceptance, a new home, time for yourself, your heart’s deepest yearning … imagine it down to the tiniest details – fully and completely – without hesitation.

  • What are you feeling? Where in your body are you feeling it?
  • Savor these feelings as you continue to breathe slowly.
  • Add as many details as you can: What are you wearing? What is the weather like? What’s the air smell like? How’s your breathing? Are you calm? Are you giddy?
  • What is the most memorable part of your experience?
  • Whatever event your imagination serves up to you is just perfect.
  • As you observe your experience, pick out three details to remember: maybe a color of something around you, a scent in the air, and most importantly an enjoyable feeling.
  • Now notice where in your body that feeling is located and take a moment to spread that feeling throughout your body. Continue to breathe deeply and slowly and see yourself in this event.
  • When you feel complete, bring your awareness back to your more expanded self sitting in the chair, aware, awake, refreshed, grounded…
  • Notice ambient sounds, notice smells around you, notice the temperature…
  • And when you are ready, open your eyes.
  • You have played with your imagination to reach into your future. The important thing to take away from this exercise is the feelings you experienced. You can tap into them at any time as a reminder that your deepest dreams and visions do exist!
