“Start where you are.

Use what you have.

Do what you can.”

–Arthur Ashe.

Any questions?

I love this message by Arthur Ashe. It assumes that every moment is a new moment, we have everything we need, and there is always something we can do.

Here’s a one-minute clearing practice you can try…

  • Is there something you’re doing right now that can wait?
  • Is there something you can do right now that would be a better use of your time?
  • Is there something you can do right now that better matches your energy level?

If you notice a “yeah, but…” forming like a cloud in your mind, simply observe it, give it space to balk, notice what it feels like to follow a new impulse to switch gears (or not), and move on.

Need another quick hit of clearing inspiration? Go to Start Where You Are – 2 … and start where you are … again.

It reminds me of my favorite quote: Bob Dylan’s “I was just doing what i could where I was with what I had.”

am busy trying now to clear out excess baggage I have been carrying around for years. Feels great making some progress. Only wish I were younger and had more energy. I definitely advise one to start young and keep it going. Rita Hopkins
