“When a problem appears too large, too intractable and too unspeakable to deal with, it’s easy to give up. There never seems to be enough time, enough resources or enough money to make the big problems go away. Perhaps we can start with a very small part of it. One person, one opportunity, one connection. Drip by drip, with commitment. Those are the two hard parts. The insight to do it drip by drip and the persistence to commit to it.” –Seth Godin, “Stuck on Enormity”
If you…
- are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or exhausted
- want to be free of stuff but have no clue where to start, or how to stay with it once you do
- feel unmotivated, uninspired, or plain stuck
- keep abandoning yourself for other people’s needs
- wish you could figure out what you’re meant to be doing with your life …
Welcome! You’ve come to the right place.
Here’s what I can tell you about clearing the Spacious Way, summarized into these three simple truths:
- You cannot clear the stress and clutter in your life with the same mindset that created it
- For clearing to last, you need to slow down and put yourself first
- Clearing is not about freeing up some space, it’s about freeing you!
If you are willing to go the distance, make a commitment to yourself, and play a much bigger game with clearing in your life, the program below will support and guide you every step of the way.
This guided self-study program developed by Stephanie Bennett Vogt not only works to lighten your load with less effort, it will transform your life in ways you cannot even begin to imagine. You will peel away layers of stuckness you didn’t even know you had!
All you have to do is say yes and take the first step.
Guided Self-Study Program
Get a copy of Stephanie’s book Your Spacious Self and commit to working with one chapter a day for six weeks, even if all you can handle is one minute or a single toothpick.
This foundational book lays out the core principles and science behind Stephanie’s proven method of clearing the clutter in your life – be it physical, mental, emotional (or all of the above). With simple tools and practices, it will help you unwind and untangle yourself from whatever it is that is holding you back.
If you could use a buddy or accountability partner or two, Your Spacious Self is good for that too. In the back of the book you will find six weekly discussion topics and meeting guidelines to help you start a clearing support book group.
“I can’t begin to tell you the impact your book has had on me. I cried several times while I was reading it because I felt so seen somehow.”–Angie T.
“Stephanie… Your book, Your Spacious Self has changed my life. I’ve been reading one small chapter a day, along with my devotions in the morning, and working the questions in a separate journal. In less than a month our house has been transformed. In clearing our house, I’ve also cleared deep pain in regards to some life situations… wayward kids, and my mom, who’s a stroke survivor who we care for, tho she lives alone. Lots of stress, but the house is a refuge again and not a chief stressor.”–Melissa S.
Once you’ve established a foundation and would like to grow new clearing habits that feel good and last, give yourself a year with either Stephanie’s book A Year to Clear, or her popular online course “A Year to Clear What is Holding You Back!” on DailyOM.
Why a year? Find out here.
While both the book and the course give you 365 inspirational messages that appear at first glance to be two versions of the same thing, they are different. The course eases you into the clearing experience by delivering core teachings, audios, and videos in your email inbox every day. The book with double the content (personal stories, practices, and inspirational wisdom), expands and deepens the work. Which path you choose to take depends on 1.) whether you prefer (or need) a lighter email nudge from Stephanie and would enjoy the optional support of connecting with fellow travelers in the comment thread, or 2.) would prefer a deeper clearing experience on your own, or with others in a “clearing circle” book group.
Still not sure which way to go? Wondering if you should do both at the same time? Go to the FAQ page here.
“A Year to Clear changed my life. Set up as a book of daily meditations, reflections, and exercises to help you transform your life, this book was so effective at helping me see and address my life foibles that I referred to it as The Magic Workbook. I picked it up to help me deal with household clutter and got so much more – a deeper understanding of my family of origin and of how early life lessons prepared me for my current life. Day by day, I was able to identify and chip away at those things that are holding me back. I highly recommend this to anyone in search of their true self, their best self, or even just a better relationship with their self and their life.”–Mary, Goodreads
“DONE!! I can’t quite believe that I completed this course in one solid year. Not getting in every day, but always finding that when I read the Lessons, serenity and calmness followed. Don’t let the slow drip of the course get in the way, progress and changes sneak up on you. A quick inventory of what has occurred for me in the last year. I have overcome my fear of letting go of things. I am able to decide what clothes really make me feel good and donate the rest. I buy less things. No need to stock up so much. I have lost 14 pounds. I have let go of old notebooks full of anxieties, angst and pain – no need for my children to ever experience that someday. I have emptied and recycled boxes of papers I stored for no apparent reason. Self-care and simplicity have become my mantras. This has been the best $35 I’ve spent on myself in decades. Thanks, Stephanie!” –Chris M.
STEP 3 – Maintain Your Practice
With new tools and habits under your belt, this stage of the program becomes one of reinforcing them. This is when you reach for Stephanie’s third book A Year for You or her online course “Clearing Physical and Emotional Clutter” – or both at the same time. While you may feel like you’ve already “been there done that,” don’t be fooled. The more focused approach that these programs offer of slowing down, simplifying, sensing, surrendering, and self-care will keep you steady and calm no matter what comes your way. This yearlong journey will help you connect with what you love, discover what truly matters, and support your self-care for years to come.
“Far better than any other simplicity book or decluttering system I have explored, A Year for You is a deep and joyous journey into self love. I am delighted that I have found this treasure! I am excited for what is now possible in my life.”–Dr. Kym
“As this course comes to its completion, but not really a “close,” I am amazed, firstly, that I actually stayed with it. To boot, my notebook blossomed into an art book I love looking at and then thus, reviewing lessons. In some ways, it’s still the beginning of the course…a good feeling…lots more to look forward to.” –Polly N. J.
The beautiful thing about the Spacious Way approach to clearing is that nothing you do is too small. All you need is one step – and the rest will take care of itself.
